High Performance at the Next Level
Developed in association with Loïck Peyron, the Outremer 4X was unveiled at the International Multihull Show at La Grande Motte in the South of France last April. Born from the popular Outremer 45, she is lighter and faster but still offers the same levels of comfort and safety. A bluewater cruiser, who according to Outremer Yachting, will sail faster than windspeed in light air with a Code Zero.

Exciting New Design Winning Awards
- Winner ‘European Boat of the Year 2017’ multihull category
- The performance, enjoyment and sensations from sailing this boat are what won over the EYOTY jury during their tests in Cannes last September.“The feel of the helm is comparable to that of a Hobie Cat”, enthused Jochen Rieker, the jury president.
Weight Saving and Innovation
A lot of thought has been put into reducing the weight of the 4X, allowing for extra speed under sail and economy under motor.
- Carbon rotating mast
- Carbon bulkheads
- Carbon rudders and daggerboards
- Kevlar stays

Boat description
The Outremer 4X is the latest in design and innovation from the world’s leader in performance cruising catamarans Outremer Yachting. Based on the very popular the Outremer 45, the 4X has been optimized while maintaining Outremer’s core principles of speed, comfort and safety.
Innovation in Design
An extra three foot in length has been added in the platforms. This not only gives more waterline length but allows for very easy access to the water. Carbon fibre has been used extensively throughout to reduce weight. From a carbon rotating mast, bulkheads, rudders and daggerboards, down to the small things like the handrail grips on the deck.
The Outremer 4X gains more power and speed with increased sail area. She comes with a genoa as standard instead of a self-tacking jib. It is easy to set up a Code Zero, Gennaker or Asymmetrical Spinnaker from her carbon bowsprit, again increasing her speed through the water.
Modern Interior
Step inside from the cockpit through her large sliding glass doors to the modern saloon, galley and nav station. The saloon table comfortably seats six people. The galley just a couple of steps away from the table and looks out over the cockpit, making cooking fun and social. The nav station faces forward to give you good visibility. There is enough space on the nav station to install all the electronics needed.
There are two layouts available. The three-cabin owner’s version where the starboard hull is dedicated to the owner. This has a large queen berth aft and a very spacious bathroom forward. There is also the four-cabin version. With a queen berth aft in both hulls and a double forward. There is also a bathroom off the passageway between the cabins. Her modern European interior design gives the boat the feel of an expensive apartment rather than a blue water sailing catamaran.
The result of all of this is a cutting edge catamaran design capable of being raced competitively or blue water cruised. All without sacrificing comfort and on board livability or safety. Outremer are leading the way in performance multihull design which is captured fully in the Outremer 4X.
