Seawind 1600 Launches

The second Seawind 1600 to launch, ‘Double J’ named for John and Jaunita her proud owners, went into the water this week in Vietnam. Destined for Queensland, Australia she is first doing a 300NM shake down sail to Nha Trang where she will do some more coastal sea trials before being handed over to her owners. John and Jaunita are then sailing her back to Australia over the next few months, aiming to be in Australia towards the end of the year. Very exciting times with many people looking forward to seeing her.  

Privilege Euphorie 5 Launched

The much anticipated first Privilege Euphorie 5 was launched last Tuesday. The 15.98m powercat will be delivered to her owners mid June. This is the first motor catamaran built by the Privilege Marine shipyard in Port Olona. Emphasis was placed on comfort and autonomy. The boat of 15.25 m will be completed at the dock of the shipyard and delivered to its owner in mid-June. The Euphorie 5 is a model designed on the basis of the Privilège Serie 5, sailing catamaran, with many modifications especially at the rear of the hull to accommodate the two engines of 320 HP each .The bridge and the interior have been improved ergonomically with a large cockpit, relaxation area and owner’s cabin. Multihull Hardstand Display Announced for Moreton Bay, Brisbane

Multihull Central in partnership with the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron announces a new hardstand area exclusively for the out of water storage and display of preowned cruising catamarans and trimarans. This display now opens up a convenient location for multihull owners who moor their boats on Moreton Bay or in the Brisbane area, a cost effective local alternative when selling their boats. The facility also provides a central and convenient shopping experience for multihull buyers with a range of boats anticipated to be on display, close to Brisbane Airport, half an hour from Brisbane city while enjoying world class facilities of the RQYS including its restaurants, bar and onsite accommodation for traveling customers. Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show Wrap Up

From the 24th-27th of May Multihull Central featured a record breaking multihull display at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show on the Gold Coast. The massive display featured 6 boats, three power and three sail and was manned by over 20 staff. It was a exciting 4 days with over 1800 people having the chance to walk on board and experience each boat for themselves. For the first time in Australia all three Aquila models were on display.
