What a great weekend! We were so happy with the outcome of the event in its new setting… Sydney Harbour. Starting the weekend off with a twilight race on the Friday afternoon which saw a great sail with perfect wins to set the competitive edge for the entirety of the rally.
Back to our Multihull Central Marina in Annandale made it easy for our crew’s to dingy in for a fun and casual Rum night where everyone shared their favourite drop of rum under a canopy over looking sydney harbour.
Great to have Seawind founder, Richard Ward and his wife attend for the night catching up with old and new friends.
After a bacon and egg breakie plus a quick briefing we were straight out to the start line. Seawinds tacking through the harbour made for some great pictures.
Lunch time saw some swimming in the beautiful emerald waters of Athol Bay, basking in some of the best views of the harbour!
Back to the start line for the final and determining race, sailing through to Middle Harbour Yacht Club for the nights end Party. The winds weren’t too kind as not all made it with their sails through to the finish line. Certainly made for an interesting sail and was great to put the brand new Pulse to the test.
We were lucky enough to host the final night at the Middle Harbour Yacht Club where we had a beach party, live music and Paella.
Congratulations to the winning Cats onboard St Arnou who had some helping hand all the way from America just to shake things up a bit!
We thank all that came out and made the weekend & hope you join us for next years Rally!
