Philip Fontaine

Philip holds a Master of Business degree (UTS). He has worked for national and international companies prior to successfully building and selling two of his own businesses.

Philip’s sailing career began with racing small skiffs and catamarans at various clubs in Sydney whilst working at Sail Australia as a general hand and then East Sail as an instructor. He has owned and or crewed on a wide variety of boats, both mono hulls and catamarans over the past 40 years. In addition to passages up and down Australia’s East Coast, there have been numerous passages throughout the Pacific either as Master, Mate or Crew between New Zealand, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, The Solomons, Papua New Guinea, Palau, The Aeolian Sea, The Mediterranean and the Chesapeake region of USA. Over the past decade or so Philip has made shorthanded cruising with his wife a priority over racing. He currently owns a performance one design 38’ catamaran.

The reason that Philip is part of the MHC Team is that he not only enjoys boats but more importantly likes to help people achieve their maritime ambition. Life is short enough, and most of us need a helping hand from time to time to develop the momentum to achieve our dream. Philip wants to help you to achieve yours.

As a senior broker with Multihull Central, Philip is well qualified to sell your existing boat – power or sail, mono hull or catamaran. He has successfully sold numerous boats across a range of brands, and one designs. In addition, Philip is also fully trained across the range of new Seawind and HH Catamarans that Multihull Central distributes.
