Brent Vaughan, Managing Director of Multihull Central announces the launch of his new book “SEAbbaticals: How to pursue paradise by sea, before you retire”.
This new book shares insights, case studies and lessons learnt from dozens of customers and other examples of people who have gone cruising to remote and exotic locations around the world on their own boats, mid career. Combining the progressive nature of sabbatical leave with the adventure and joy of cruising and spending quality time with family, the books presents how a SEAbbatical can be one of life’s great experiences.

The book also introduces a structured five step process on how to undertake a SEAbbatical, regardless of the level of boating experience. The steps that are explained in the book include how to:
- Plan a suitable SEAbbatical,
- Purchase a boat for the purpose,
- Profit from charter boat ownership,
- Prepare your skills and boat
- Prosper from the experience and an exit plan
These steps are designed to help those with established careers and businesses make a SEAbbatical a reality, without having to put off cruising until retirement.
The book will go on sale in paperback from the boat show and in digital form on Amazon.com following the launch.
All profits from the sale of the book go to support Sea Mercy, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing free health care, education, economic development and disaster response & recovery programs to the thousands of “at risk” remote islands across the South Pacific.
