Genoa and staysail: the preferred configuration for discerning sailors.
To achieve optimal performance in light airs while maintaining maximum efficiency in heavy weather, few sail plans rival the genoa and staysail combination. Although this setup requires more active sail handling—managing tacks and deploying the removable forestay to hoist the staysail—the reward is a finely balanced, highly adaptable sail plan. For sailors who value control, performance, and precision, the additional effort is more than justified.

Constructed with an increased use of carbon in its key structural components—mast, bulkheads, compression beam, mast step, bimini, and more—the yacht achieves significant additional weight savings through meticulous attention to detail. Despite carrying more comprehensive deck hardware, the 4X registers 500 kg less on the scales than the 45’. The result is a lighter platform with noticeably sharper, more responsive acceleration.

Simple, lightweight fittings are paired with the same high standard of finish. To reduce weight, solutions such as replacing doors and certain shelves with fabric structures—secured by zippers or discreet magnetic closures—are proposed. These choices are both practical and efficient, without compromising functionality. Storage capacity remains unchanged, and while some Corian countertops are replaced with lighter composite materials, the same level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is maintained throughout.
