Description | Features
TEMPUS is perfect for family liveaboard enjoyment and exploring, sporting adventures, especially as a Scuba platform, and perfectly set up as a deluxe, charter expedition boat, should that be in your plans. She is equipped with every amenity including air conditioning, generator and solar power, water maker, a dive compressor, washer / dryer, and modern galley appliances including a dishwasher. Her features are too numerous to outline in this introduction.
Royal Cape Catamarans, based in Durban, South Africa, are proud manufacturers of the luxurious “Majestic” catamarans. Their objective has been to produce and distribute products that are fit for “royalty,” at a price that is competitive, and which ensures sustainability. Safety and quality are also vitally important in their uniquely crafted catamarans. Most importantly, customer service has always been at the forefront of their organisational thinking.
The Royal Cape Catamaran was first produced using the lines of the Van Der Stadt designed, RCOD (Royal Cape One Design), which for over 25 years held the record for the fastest passage between Richards Bay and Durban on the east coast of South Africa. Adapted and enhanced with CE certification and comprehensive documentation, she is an aesthetically attractive, spacious, strong and a very stable cruiser. Luxurious and comfortable with an equipment inventory that surpasses that found on competitive boats.
The Royal Cape Catamaran, Majestic 530, is MAJESTIC in every sense of the word! This is the complete, versatile, stable, safe, spacious, stylish, superbly equipped, blue-water cruising catamaran. No other catamaran in this class, offers as much and is so well equipped while offering customization of layouts, materials, equipment, deck gear, colours, long range fuel and water tanks. The cruiser’s electrical requirements offer true multi-frequency operation and the generation / storage requirements have been researched and balanced. The classic design is unique and features – superior head room (enabling one to sit up comfortably in bed), excellent lighting and significantly better air flow ensuring fresh air and cooling, while venting cooking odours and heat from the galley.
Do not miss this exceptionally maintained cat at cost below replacement. She is ready to sail away now, “Tempus” offers the total package for liveaboard and extended ocean passage-making with interior accommodations and covered aft deck comparable to larger cats. Her Van de Stadt design remains highly regarded for its stability, performance, comfort, and ocean friendly hulls. The 2014 adaptation is CE certified and is attractive, spacious, and versatile. Her fuller hulls reduce bow movement and flatten the seas, minimizing ocean contact with the bridge deck. The hull design also provides reduced draft, and an ability to carry more without affecting performance. Plenty of room aboard, quality construction, superb fit and finish, 4 beautiful staterooms with en suite heads, a well-equipped, bright, galley-up and living salon make her a World class vessel.
The external fishing, diving, BBQ, and recreational storage area is also unique, and it assists in keeping the wet and dirty activities outside while the spacious cockpit area offers the guests a superb entertainment area and the helmsman good and protected all round visibility. More power, water, sail, space, and storage enable one to travel further, anchor over your favourite fishing or dive areas for longer and offers greater versatility – they can operate successfully as charter vessels too. Besides her attractive looks, the Majestic 530 is a pleasure to handle. Steering is effortless and trimming the sails requires a simple press of the button to activate self-tailing winches. Fully stable and predictable always, she thrives on a good wind.
Tempus is currently owned by a Norwegian family who has been living aboard full time for the last 3,5 years. They have been cruising the Mediterranean, crossing the Atlantic, exploring the Caribbean and Bahamas, taken her through the Panama canal, and crossed the Pacific Ocean and now cruising in New Zealand. She has been continuously maintained and looked after along the way, and is all ready for new adventures all waters.

“Many thanks to Jason Brosnahan at Multihull Central in Opua New Zealand. Because of Covid lockdowns I pretty much had to purchase Emocean sight unseen in New Zealand and then have her transported to Australia. Jason made what could have been a very stressful experience a whole lot easier by putting me in touch with the right people and by providing many hours of honest, professional and enthusiastic support.
A big thanks as well to Chris Henry at Multihull Central in Australia who assisted us in getting both into and out of Brisbane Harbour. My only regret is that I was unable to share with Jason the bottle of French Champagne that I found in the fridge. Regards Andrew Bateman”

I recently took delivery of my beautiful new Seawind 1260 “Pirate Pete” in Brisbane before sailing it up to the Whitsundays for charter. I couldn’t have done it without the help of the incomparable sail master “Brett Hodder” from Multihull Central who guided us through the passage and taught us the ropes (I mean sheets). The boat itself sailed effortlessly through the ocean day and night with its crew in total comfort. I couldn’t be happier with the boat and service from Multihull Central and would recommend a Seawind 1260 to anyone wanting a true sailing boat that doesn’t compromise on comfort or sailability, combining these 2 key elements in the ultimate package. “Pirate Pete” is now available for bareboat charter in the Whitsundays through “Cumberland Charter Yachts” if you’d like to “try before you buy” and will also be available on Sydney Harbour from December to March through “Charterboat Central”. Thanks again and big thumbs up to Multihull Central.

In July 2016 I received my new Seawind 1160 Lite. The team at Multihull Central did an impressive job in preparing the catamaran for the handover. It was in all parts ready to set sail and beautifully prepared for us. The introduction was extremely competent and the handing over was very enjoyable and a great experience. The few minor issues that emerged were immediately resolved as they became visible. The professional and highly experienced handing over contributed greatly to the pleasure we have been getting from sailing our new Seawind catamaran.

Seawind 1160 Resort: First in Sydney Harbour! After some initial challenges with the delivery date of our Seawind 1160 Resort, we finally received delivery on November 21st 2016. The commissioning team at Multihull Central couldn’t have worked harder for us to make sure we made our charter deadlines for December 1st. Considering the boat only arrived at Multihull Central on November 23rd, it was amazing to have it up and running for charter on December 2nd 2016. Thank you Brent, Christine & John for all your help!

To Brent and the team, I wanted to thank you for your assistance with selling my Outremer 51. I’m glad we had you as a trusted agent to work with. I was shocked at how quickly we sold and delighted with the result, in fact I struggle to imagine a better outcome.
