Description | Features
She is extremely rare on the market for few reasons: She is hull number one of the new design Outremer 45 She benefits from the short transom version – 45’ foot strict which is a real advantage for marina fees – less than 14m. The history of this boat is not common as the first owner target was to sail in Polynesia – his first and still current name is reflecting Polynesian boats.
After 16 months of sailing with the first owner, we sold her in the Pacific to the second owner who did a long Pacific trip: Med coast, WI, Panama, French Polynesia, and the Pacific Then purchased by the third and current owner who finished the Pacific trip.
On Barreau Neuman plans and Darnet Design inside, the unbelievable 45 has strength lines and is the higher standard of the Yard: performant, simple as all the Outremer Catamarans Built with offshore accommodations, this cat keeps the portside guess hull with an aft cabin, central bathroom and front double cabin
On the Starboard hull: A large Companionway with a Sliding door separating the owner’s hull from the saloon, Wardrobe, storage, and sink basin with mixer tap. She benefits from an aft cabin with a longitudinal berth with a slatted base and a large fixed rectangular port light outboard of the hull, providing a clear view of the sea from the berth. Then accommodations are dedicated for toilets with a separate shower and a front cabin which could be used as a workshop/bench with large storage below the working surface. Wardrobe, shelves, and generous storage below the berth.
Extensive work has been done on her recently to keep her looking gorgeous and in perfect working condition. She has completed one half of a world circumnavigation under three owners. She is ready for the next ten years without the need for rigging refits. She is a safe and fast cruising offshore boat. Sailing off the wind she loves to show double digit speeds. This Outremer 45 has been sailed two-handed for the last few years and even without electric winches has been a pleasure to manage.
She is an elegant looking boat with emphasis by her French designers on crew comfort, safety, and performance. Fully equipped for blue water cruising, she has all the equipment with light weight to keep all the performances… With a major refit done on last month to keep her ready to sail.

“Many thanks to Jason Brosnahan at Multihull Central in Opua New Zealand. Because of Covid lockdowns I pretty much had to purchase Emocean sight unseen in New Zealand and then have her transported to Australia. Jason made what could have been a very stressful experience a whole lot easier by putting me in touch with the right people and by providing many hours of honest, professional and enthusiastic support.
A big thanks as well to Chris Henry at Multihull Central in Australia who assisted us in getting both into and out of Brisbane Harbour. My only regret is that I was unable to share with Jason the bottle of French Champagne that I found in the fridge. Regards Andrew Bateman”

I recently took delivery of my beautiful new Seawind 1260 “Pirate Pete” in Brisbane before sailing it up to the Whitsundays for charter. I couldn’t have done it without the help of the incomparable sail master “Brett Hodder” from Multihull Central who guided us through the passage and taught us the ropes (I mean sheets). The boat itself sailed effortlessly through the ocean day and night with its crew in total comfort. I couldn’t be happier with the boat and service from Multihull Central and would recommend a Seawind 1260 to anyone wanting a true sailing boat that doesn’t compromise on comfort or sailability, combining these 2 key elements in the ultimate package. “Pirate Pete” is now available for bareboat charter in the Whitsundays through “Cumberland Charter Yachts” if you’d like to “try before you buy” and will also be available on Sydney Harbour from December to March through “Charterboat Central”. Thanks again and big thumbs up to Multihull Central.

In July 2016 I received my new Seawind 1160 Lite. The team at Multihull Central did an impressive job in preparing the catamaran for the handover. It was in all parts ready to set sail and beautifully prepared for us. The introduction was extremely competent and the handing over was very enjoyable and a great experience. The few minor issues that emerged were immediately resolved as they became visible. The professional and highly experienced handing over contributed greatly to the pleasure we have been getting from sailing our new Seawind catamaran.

Seawind 1160 Resort: First in Sydney Harbour! After some initial challenges with the delivery date of our Seawind 1160 Resort, we finally received delivery on November 21st 2016. The commissioning team at Multihull Central couldn’t have worked harder for us to make sure we made our charter deadlines for December 1st. Considering the boat only arrived at Multihull Central on November 23rd, it was amazing to have it up and running for charter on December 2nd 2016. Thank you Brent, Christine & John for all your help!

To Brent and the team, I wanted to thank you for your assistance with selling my Outremer 51. I’m glad we had you as a trusted agent to work with. I was shocked at how quickly we sold and delighted with the result, in fact I struggle to imagine a better outcome.
